Maintenance capital expenditure
Spending needed to maintain an asset's or operation's service capability, defined on the basis used in the analysis.
Why the distinction matters
Separate routine maintenance from growth and technology refresh. A cash model that omits essential replacement spending can overstate sustainable debt capacity.
