The Commission overturned the council's refusal on the applicant's appeal.
It relied on the existing fixed grid connection and connection agreement with EirGrid, which includes a flexible demand arrangement, and on the applicant's existing signed corporate power purchase agreement.

Terms that matter to a lender

Before operation, evidence of corporate power purchase agreements for new, unsubsidised renewable generation in Ireland at least equal to the electricity the building uses from fossil sources.
The 45 standby generators to run on renewable fuel, such as HVO, with fossil diesel restricted.

Power

Granted on the strength of a fixed grid connection with a flexible demand arrangement, with a PPA condition before operation.
