Asia-Pacific data centre financing
Campus development, green facilities and official finance across distinct local markets.
Asia-Pacific combines different financing currencies, project structures and development stages. Selected AirTrunk, DayOne and Yondr observations provide research paths; they do not establish regional financing volume or a uniform funding model.
Read packages component by component
AirTrunk announcements describe campus and multi-transaction financing, while DayOne's Johor disclosure identifies more than one financing component. Retain native currency and instrument distinctions, and do not count a package alongside all of its components as additional funding.
Distinguish the phase from the whole campus
Yondr's May 2024 announcement identifies an IFC facility for the first phase of its Johor campus. The facility limit is not a statement of total campus capital spending, drawn balances or currently commissioned capacity.
Connect procurement, power and liquidity
Review local site rights, imported equipment timing, supply currency and the customer acceptance process. A campus can have a strong demand case while still requiring cash to bridge delivery, testing and the start of billing.
Research priorities in this region
- Johor and Singapore financing components and native currencies
- Campus phases and customer acceptance
- DFI conditions and lender mobilisation
